Local listings management

Accurate details, everywhere guests look for you

Google listing, maps, GPS apps, voice assistants: everything comes from one record, kept in Reservit.

  • One entry, every connected platform
  • Team in Montreal
“Open” sign hanging on the glass door of a property
The problem

Three sources, three versions: the traveller goes elsewhere

Travellers no longer look for a place to stay in a directory, but on a map, a GPS app or a voice assistant. Each one has its own version of you.

“Hotel near me”

Travellers search where they plan to sleep.

  • On a map Front desk open 24/7
  • In a GPS app Old address
  • Through a voice assistant “Closed for the season”
They book elsewhere

When the details contradict each other, the traveller decides.

The search includes a place

A city, a neighbourhood, “near me.”

Listings exist without you

Third-party sources fill them in, and a mistake can linger for a long time.

The details contradict each other

Three phone numbers on three platforms: doubt sends travellers away.

The scope

What it does not do

It does not buy rankings

Ranking belongs to the search engines. The module provides accurate, complete and up-to-date details: that’s the part you control.

It does not manage reviews

Asking for reviews and replying to them is a different job.

Guest reviews · Online reputation

It does not replace your website

A well-kept listing leads somewhere. Your website and booking engine remain the destination.

Website builder

It never touches guest data

Only your property’s details are shared, never your guests’ data.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get

Does the module guarantee first place on Google?

No. Ranking belongs to the search engines, and nobody can sell it. The module works on what can be checked: a listing that is complete, accurate and consistent from one platform to the next.

Do I need to create an account on every platform?

No. Connections are made during setup. If you already have a Google Business Profile, it is connected as it is, not recreated.

Do I lose control of my Google listing?

No. The listing stays yours. The module writes the details you keep in Reservit to it, and you can still edit it directly.

Do my changes go live everywhere right away?

No. Reservit sends them as soon as you save, but publication is out of our hands. Each platform has its own delays, and some review changes before displaying them.

Is the Book button on my Google listing part of the module?

No. The module publishes your property’s information and keeps it up to date; it does not handle bookings. The “Book” button on your Google Business Profile is included by default with Reservit: it opens your booking engine, with no fees and no cost per booking, with your own rates and conditions.

Is it included in my Reservit subscription?

No. It is an add-on module, added to your contract only if you choose it. Pricing depends on the number of properties and is given to you during the demo. Guest reviews, online reputation management, CRM and pre-arrival are add-on modules too.

Where is my information published?

Directly, on the platforms connected by our distribution partner: search engines and maps (Google Business Profile, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Bing), GPS and navigation (Waze, HERE, TomTom) and social media (Facebook, Snapchat). Other services then pick up this information on their own schedule: Instagram, voice assistants (Siri, Google Assistant), generative AI (Gemini, ChatGPT, Le Chat) and in-car GPS such as Garmin. The exact list is set during setup: it depends on the property’s country and on the distribution agreements in effect.

What information is published?

Name and address, phone and email, opening hours and closures, property category, description, photos, website and booking link, amenities and services. Nothing more.

Does my guests’ data go through the module?

No. Only your property’s information is shared, never your guests’ data.

How do I know where my listing is published?

A distribution report shows, platform by platform, what has gone through and what is still pending.

How is this different from metasearch listings?

Local listings management publishes your property’s information (address, opening hours, photos, links) on listings and information platforms: maps, GPS apps, voice assistants. Metasearch listings show your rates and availability, with a link to your booking engine: the direct connection to Google is included, with no fees and no cost per booking; Google Hotel Ads advertising is available as an option; other metasearch sites (Trivago, Tripadvisor, KAYAK) are available as an add-on module.

Does the module manage my guest reviews?

No. It publishes property information. The Guest reviews module asks your guests for a review after their stay; the Online reputation management module gathers the reviews posted on the major platforms and suggests a reply. Both are add-on modules.

Do I need a website?

A well-kept listing leads somewhere: your website and booking engine remain the destination. If you don’t have a website, the Reservit website builder (add-on module) sets one up for you, booking engine included.

I also run a restaurant: can guests book a table from Google?

Yes, with the Restaurant module (add-on module), which is separate from local listings management. It connects to your Google Business Profile and to Google Maps: diners book their table without leaving their search, and the request lands in your reservation book like any other.

Will I get help getting started?

Yes. Connections are made during setup, with the Reservit team in Montreal, in English or French. Together, we look at what the maps say about your property today.

Local listings management: full fact sheet

The module at a glance Add-on module

Reservit is management software for tourism accommodation, founded in 1999, with its Canadian team based in Montreal. The Local listings management module (add-on module) publishes your property’s information and keeps it up to date across listings and information platforms. It does not handle bookings: the “Book” button on your Google Business Profile is included by default with Reservit. Distribution covers search engines, maps, GPS apps and voice assistants, from a single record kept in Reservit. Guest reviews, online reputation management, CRM and pre-arrival are add-on modules too.

The problem it solves Listings that exist without you

  • Local search means being found when the search includes a place: a city, a neighbourhood, “near me.”
  • Printed directories are gone; maps, GPS apps and voice assistants have taken their place.
  • Maps and directories fill up with third-party data: a wrong opening time or an old address can linger for a long time.
  • Three different phone numbers on three platforms, and the traveller decides. Often by booking elsewhere.

Destinations Maps, GPS, social media, voice assistants

  • Search engines and maps (direct distribution): Google Business Profile, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Bing.
  • GPS and navigation (direct distribution): Waze, HERE, TomTom.
  • Social media (direct distribution): Facebook, Snapchat.
  • Then picked up, on each service’s own schedule, by: Instagram, voice assistants (Siri, Google Assistant), generative AI (Gemini, ChatGPT, Le Chat), in-car GPS (Garmin).

Distribution goes through our distribution partner, in each destination’s format. The exact list is set during setup: it depends on the property’s country and on the distribution agreements in effect.

What is published Your property’s information, nothing else

  • Name and address; phone and email; opening hours and closures.
  • Property category; description; photos.
  • Website and booking link; amenities and services.
  • None of your guests’ data is shared.

How a correction travels Four steps

  1. You make the change in Reservit: front desk hours, a photo, a phone number.
  2. Reservit sends the record to our distribution partner, with no re-entry.
  3. The partner pushes the record in the format each connected destination expects.
  4. A distribution report shows, platform by platform, what has gone through and what is still pending.

Each platform publishes at its own pace, and some review changes before displaying them. Reservit controls the sending, not the publishing schedule.

Google and the Book button Included with Reservit, outside the module

The direct connection to Google is included with Reservit: your rates appear on Google and the “Book” button on your Google Business Profile opens your booking engine, with no fees and no cost per booking. To go further, Google Hotel Ads advertising is available as an option: it is paid by commission, per booking or per click, within the budget you set. Other metasearch sites (Trivago, Tripadvisor, KAYAK…) are available as an add-on module.

What the module does not do The scope

  • It does not handle bookings: it publishes the property’s information.
  • It does not buy rankings: ranking belongs to the search engines.
  • It does not manage reviews: that is the job of the Guest reviews and Online reputation management modules.
  • It does not replace your website: your website and booking engine remain the destination.
  • It never touches guest data: only the property’s information travels.

Subscription and pricing How the price is set

  • A subscription priced in Canadian dollars, taxes extra, never a percentage of your bookings: the software takes no commission.
  • The price depends on the type of property, the number of units and the add-on modules you choose, never on your sales volume.
  • Unlimited users: Reservit bills the software, never the user.
  • Included: the ten modules of the suite, more than 50 integrations with no usage fees, updates, onboarding, training and support from a team based in Canada, by phone or by email.
  • Add-on modules, only if you choose them: online check-in, guest messaging, extras and services, metasearch sites (Trivago, Tripadvisor, KAYAK…), website builder, CRM (guest records and newsletters), online reputation management, pre-arrival guest preparation, guest reviews, local listings management. The direct connection to Google is included; Google Hotel Ads advertising is optional.
  • Yearly commitment, monthly or yearly payment; adding or removing units is prorated.
  • A written offer, priced for your property; migration of your booking data from your previous software included in the installation price.
  • Security: two-factor authentication, access logs, PCI DSS certified payment environment.

Local listings management is an add-on module, added to the contract only if you choose it; its pricing depends on the number of properties and is given to you during the demo. Connections are made during setup, with the Montreal team, in English or French; an existing Google Business Profile is connected as it is, not recreated.
