What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember a piece of information from one page or visit to the next, such as the language you chose.
This policy applies to Reservit’s website for Canada. It complements our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

We group cookies into categories. On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse them.
- Functional: needed for the site to work, for example to remember your language or your choice in the banner. They are always active.
- Statistics: measure site traffic, in an anonymized way, so we can improve the site. They are set only with your consent.
- Marketing: measure how well our advertising campaigns on Google and Microsoft Bing perform, for example to know that a demo request followed an ad. They are set only with your consent.
- Preferences: we do not use any at this time.
Until you accept a category, none of its cookies are set. Your choice is recorded, with its date, so that we can respect it and keep proof of it.

Matomo cookies are set under Reservit’s domain name; audience measurement is handled on our behalf by Matomo (Matomo Cloud service, in Europe), and your IP address is anonymized. If you accept statistics, Google Analytics also sets cookies under our domain name. If you accept marketing, Google (Google Ads) and Microsoft (Microsoft Advertising) set cookies to measure our campaigns, some of them under their own domain name (MUID on bing.com). These companies process the data in the United States, under their own policies: Google’s privacy policy, Microsoft’s privacy statement.
The site contains links to other sites, such as our social media pages or browser help pages. Those sites have their own policies, which apply as soon as you visit them.

Each cookie expires at the end of the duration shown in the table. You can delete them earlier, at any time, from your browser. The statistics drawn from audience measurement cookies are used in aggregate form, as described in our privacy policy.
