The restaurant bill moves onto the room bill
This link is what sets Reservit POS apart from a till bought separately: the dining room and the front desk work on the same guest file.
Charge to the room
A server posts the bill to an occupied room. The guest settles at checkout, and the meal appears on the stay invoice.
One product list
Items, prices and tax rates are held in one place. A price changed in the morning applies to the evening service.
Payments flow back
What is taken in the dining room returns to the PMS. Restaurant and accommodation revenue read from the same account.
A cash register software that complies
In France, software that records payments must meet four conditions set by article 286-I-3° bis of the tax code. Reservit POS meets them.
Unalterable records
Once recorded, an entry cannot be changed or deleted without leaving a trace. Corrections are kept.
Secured data
Payment data is protected against tampering, and every entry carries its own signature.
Retention
Entries are kept and closed period by period, day after day, through to the end of the financial year.
Archiving
Data is archived and can be produced in a readable form if the tax authority asks for it.
Reservit issues the compliance certificate to produce in the event of an audit.

Split bills
By item or by course. The balance due is recalculated after each partial payment.
Discounts
A discount applies to one line or to the whole bill, and stays on the record for the day.
Card terminal
The amount goes from the till to the terminal and the payment comes back onto the bill. Nothing is keyed in twice.
Receipts and invoices
A receipt at the table, a named invoice on request, or the amount carried onto the stay invoice.
Several outlets
Restaurant, bar and terrace can each keep their own list and their own till, all from the same account.

Can I use Reservit POS without Reservit PMS?
Yes. Reservit POS and Reservit PMS can be used independently of each other.
Can the restaurant bill be charged to the room?
Yes. That is the point of the link. The server posts the bill to an occupied room, the guest settles at checkout and the meal appears on the stay invoice.
Does Reservit POS comply with French cash register law?
Yes. It meets the four conditions of article 286-I-3° bis of the French tax code: unalterable records, secured data, retention and archiving of payment data.
Can a bill be split?
Yes. By item or by course. The balance due is recalculated after each partial payment, and each share can be settled a different way.
Does the amount have to be keyed into the card terminal?
No. The amount goes from the till to the terminal, and the payment comes back onto the bill. Compatible models are confirmed with your account manager.
Can several outlets be run at once?
Yes. Each outlet keeps its own list, its own prices and its own till, and all of them read from the same account.
