Multi-year Digital Accessibility Plan
2026–2028
This plan sets out the strategic directions, planned actions and monitoring indicators put in place by Interface Technologies to make the Reservit booking engines accessible, with the objective of full compliance by 2030.
Contents
Introduction and commitments
This plan is part of the digital accessibility obligations defined by:
- Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005 and its implementing decree No. 2019-768 of 24 July 2019;
- European Directive 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act), transposed into French law by Decree No. 2023-931 of 9 October 2023 and applicable since 28 June 2025;
- The French General Accessibility Improvement Framework (RGAA).
This multi-year plan, established in 2026, covers the period 2026–2028 and will be reviewed annually. It defines the strategic directions, planned actions and monitoring indicators put in place to progress towards compliance, with the objective of full compliance by 2030.
Beyond the regulatory obligation, Interface Technologies is committed to making digital accessibility a core quality criterion in the development of its products.
Back to contentsScope
This plan covers the online booking engines published by Reservit.
As a software provider, Reservit’s specific position requires a distinction between two levels of responsibility:
- Reservit’s technical responsibility: accessibility of interface components, code and engine features. This is the scope to which this plan applies.
- Hotels’ editorial responsibility: relevance of published content (descriptions, images, texts). Reservit commits to providing hotels with the tools and information needed to produce accessible content.
Current situation
A RGAA 4.1.2 compliance audit was conducted in 2026 on the booking tunnel pages, using a representative demonstration establishment. All 106 RGAA criteria were assessed and a status assigned to each: Compliant, Non-compliant, Not applicable or Not tested.
An in-depth technical analysis was carried out to assess all the remediation work required, by component and by application. This forms the basis for prioritising the actions described in this plan.
Back to contentsAction plan 2026–2028
The development workload identified is spread over three years, with execution flexibility based on development cycles. Workstreams are prioritised according to their blocking impact on users, then in decreasing order of criticality, with the objective of full compliance by 2030.
Year 1 – 2026: Foundations and first corrections
2026 is dedicated to getting to grips with the subject: taking stock, publishing regulatory documents, familiarising teams with accessibility concepts and addressing the first isolated high-impact corrections.
- Completion of the initial RGAA 4.1.2 audit on the hotel booking engine and the activities booking engine.
- Appointment of an accessibility lead, responsible for driving the process and coordinating teams.
- Publication of the accessibility statement.
- Prioritisation of corrective actions and publication of this multi-year plan.
- Training: priority familiarisation of the UX lead as part of the technical analyses, with planned upskilling of teams throughout corrective projects.
- Quick wins: 6 criteria have been identified as correctable quickly and in isolation, for an immediate impact on the accessibility of the service.
- Back-office: provision of a text alternative input field for images, preparing the necessary front-end adaptations.
- OTA distribution: structuring image descriptions at the source, for the benefit of both the front end and distribution partners. This workstream is prioritised as it contributes to extending accessibility beyond our own engine, across all distribution channels.
Year 2 – 2027: Priority workstreams
2027 is dedicated to the workstreams identified as most blocking for users (priority 1).
- Scripts and interactive components (theme 7): div→button refactoring, ARIA attributes, keyboard accessibility of all tunnel components, dynamic announcements. This is the heaviest and most critical workstream; it will unlock service access for screen reader and keyboard navigation users.
- Forms and error handling (theme 11): missing labels, error messages with expected format, autocomplete. Essential for completing the booking.
- Mandatory elements (theme 8): addressing criteria not covered by quick wins.
- Structuration (theme 9): landmarks, heading hierarchy, structured lists.
- Interim audit and update of the accessibility statement.
Year 3 – 2028: Consolidation
2028 is dedicated to priority 2 workstreams, and where time allows, the first priority 3 items. At the end of this year, a new compliance analysis will identify remaining work and plan the final developments needed to achieve full compliance by 2030.
- Presentation and focus (theme 10): visible focus, ARIA states, links, reflow.
- Colours and contrast (theme 3): front-end corrections and finalisation of the contrast validator on the back-office side.
- Front-end images (theme 1): text alternatives for images managed by Reservit, drawing on the alt field available in the back-office from year 1.
- Navigation (theme 12).
- Links (theme 6), tables (theme 5), frames (theme 2): subject to availability.
- New compliance analysis and planning of remaining developments for the 2029–2030 period.
- Revision of the multi-year plan for the 2029–2031 period.
Monitoring indicators
The following indicators will measure the effectiveness of the actions taken. They will be reviewed annually, with a quarterly update on corrective progress.
- Overall RGAA compliance rate: measured after each significant correction cycle.
- Number of non-compliant criteria corrected: quarterly tracking.
- Number of untested criteria (NT): to be progressively resolved as the parent criteria they depend on are corrected.
- Team training progress: tracked throughout corrective projects.
Communication and transparency
Reservit commits to communicating regularly on the progress of its accessibility process:
- The accessibility statement is published on the booking engine and updated after each significant correction cycle, and at least once a year.
- This multi-year plan is reviewed annually to reflect actual progress.
- A contact channel is available for users to report any difficulty accessing the service: all accessibility-related requests can be sent to accessibility@reservit.com.
