One of our development criteria was not to link ReservIT with any particular platform so that no limits were placed on its development.

We have therefore opted for open and proven standards: Apache, JBoss, PHP/Zend, MySQL, and the SSL encryption system. This means that ReservIT is able to embrace technological evolutions, increases in the volume of connections, increases in the volume of the transactions of our clients, etc. in a way that is totally transparent for the users. In addition, the processing of this data by the server ensures a maximum level of compatibility with the most commonly used browsers (Internet Explorer and Netscape).

All ReservIT pages are dynamically generated. When the Web server receives a request, it sends the request to the database which returns an HTML page. This means that the information is refreshed in real time; as soon as data is modified, the page is automatically updated. Modifications to a page model are forwarded to all those using it.

Based on our development criteria, the products used are as follows:

APACHE [ > More info ] :
	The most commonly used Web Server since 1st January 1997. According to a survey by the Netcraft organisation, over half of the Web servers on the Internet are Apache servers.
	Operates on all Unix and Windows platforms
	As of March 2002 the agreement between Apache Software Foundation and Sun Microsystems allows the implementation of Java / J2EE applications.
JBOSS [ > More info ] :
	The reference Java application server.
	Provides control for increasing loads without loss of performance.
	Fully compatible with the Sun Microsystems J2EE standard.
PHP / ZEND [ > More info ] :
	Currently the most powerful object oriented tool. Used for creating dynamic Web pages.
	Available on all UNIX and Windows NT platforms.
	Supports the most popular databases on the market (Sybase, Informix, SQL Server...) and for improved performance allows a specific integration with MySQL.
MySQL [ > More info ] :
	MySQL is a multi-user and multi-task SQL database server specially designed for Web servers.
	SQL is the most popular standardised database language enabling the easy storage, updating and accessing of information.
	MySQL was specially designed for databases with the large volumes as made necessary by the use of the Internet. The performances of MySQL are enhanced in terms of the robustness, speed and ease of use.
	MySQL offers a specific integration with PHP and Apache which further improves its performance relative to other databases currently available on the market.

*Security:*
The platform architecture guarantees the highest level of security. The transmission of confidential data (credit card number, name, address, etc.) is encrypted using the Socket Secure Layer (SSL) system. SSL is the most commonly used protocol on the Internet for securing information transmitted over the Internet. Verisign certification guarantees a maximum reliability (http://www.fr.thawte.com) . In addition, we check all of the data entered on the system by the customer (validity of the e-mail, telephone numbers, post codes, etc.) in order to guarantee a maximum level of security for you.
*Payment:*
ReservIT can be interfaced with the payment system of your choice in order to debit payments against the customer's credit card following the Internet reservation.
